Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits
There was a sale at the local game store. Buy one get one free. First let me just say, those are beautiful words when applied to a game store. I picked up Ico -an old fav- and Arc the Lad:ToS. Since I've never played ToS before I popped that in first. Fun game, so far the story is a bit generic. World in peril, chosen one, blah blah blah. I do enjoy the fighting engine. While turn-based (boo!) the fighting maps are generally large and allow movement a la a strategy game. Fun little engine, which has kept me playing. My only other complaint is the god-awful voice acting. I have to play it with the volume down and music playing because the voices are just painful. Not bad for $20 though. Give it a rent if you are in need of a RPG fix.

More than likely I will add to this once I have completed the game.

God of War...
So I finally beat this damn game (on easy of course) because I am a loser who doesn't like to prove to the world that I am a badass at video games because I already know I am ^^. Hehehhehehehheh anywho, this game was awesome. It was similar to Devil May Cry, which is a series I absolutely love so w00t for that! Although this game did kick a lot of ass, there were certain missions that were just down-right annoying. Such as the Path of Hades, Poseidon's Challenge, and some other I don't remember.

But anywho, to carry on, I beat the game and was disappointed in the ending. For a game to be so awesome and then have a flat ending, that killed the joy and love for me then and there. All in all, I give it TWO THUMBS.

Game Review - Destroy All Humans
I can't tell you how excited I was to check out this game. I had been reading about it forever. While I didn't hate the game I have trouble reccomending it for even a rental. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game with a lot of hilarious dialogue. But the humor only takes it so far.

Read On Pathetic HumanCollapse )

Best Moment: The first time you control your saucer and lay waste to the city.

Worst Moment: By the third level when you are getting missions almost identical to previous ones.

Funniest Moment: When in the mother ship, just put down the controller. Pox has about a dozen lines of dialogue about how you are a stupid human for leaving your game on while not playing it. Some of his best line in my opinion.

Game Review - Metal Gear 3: Snake Eater
At about 2200 on Thursday the 30th of June. I completed Operation: Snake Eater earning the codename "Chameleon". Debriefing starts now.
Entry cut to keep civilians ignorantCollapse )

Best Moment: The battle with The End. Certainly the most tense, long, and nerve wrenching boss battle ever.

Worst Moment: Discovering that a certain Raiden lookalike has a taste for black thongs with a gold thunderbolt on the crotch.

Funniest Moment: Seeing how Snake can handle any type of warrior but how he gets all uncomfortable when comfronted with boobies.

Overall Score: 9 out of 10

Final Fantasy on I-Tunes
WHile on the plane (I flew to GA today) I read an interesting little article. Evidentally Square-Enix has made about 16 albums of Final Fantasy music available on the I-Tunes Store. This marks the first time they are available in the U.S. You can download complete soundtracks from each game as well as tracks from the Dear Friends concert and two albums from Nobuuo Uenatsu's band, the Black Mages.

Just thought some of you would like to know..... *grin*

Katamari Damacy...
Na na na na na na na na na katamari damacy!
A pointless yet, fun game! I bought this game not too long ago and decided I'd try it out since a friend recommended it to me. The best thing I love about it is the storyline. Apparently, the King of Cosmos accidentally destroyed the moon along with all the constellations. So, in order to fix this problem, he has bestowed upon his pint-sized son, the Prince, the honor of traveling to Earth and rolling up everyday objects to form a constellation. I give it Two Thumbs Up!

P.S. The songs rock too! *^^*

Recently I bought a new PS2. My old one was one of the original shipment PS2's and lasted a long time. When it finally died it went peacefully. I went out and bought one of the new anorexic PS2 and have been quite happy. Not only does it run like a dream but I can finally play all of my old PS1 games.

Lately I have fallen back in love with the genius that is Oddworld: Abe's Exxodus. Man what a great game. Simply laid out, beautiful to look at and fun to play. *sigh* They just don't make em like this anymore.
So my question is this. What old-school game still has a spot in your heart? PS1? NES? SNES? Dreamcast? List em here so we can all feel nostalgic for the simpler times...

Xbox 360
Now I am not particularly a fan of Xbox but I will admit it has some cool games. Evidentally MTV filmed a special that will show the next-gen Xbox. Of course that means pictures have leaked.
Check it out and post your thoughts.
